London Marathon Big Ben The story of my race to the Flora London Marathon 2002
The race is over! Click here to see my race report, with photos!

My name is Pam.

Right now, I am two things:

1. A new runner
2. An Anglophile (ok, I am always that)

I am generally an unmotivated person, especially when it comes to exercise. I've stuck to running, though, since I started in April 2001. But what better way to keep me motivated (and to give me a really good goal) than to train to run in the Flora London Marathon on April 14, 2002?

This will be where I keep track of my progress with running and my ongoing mental state.

Enjoy!

New! Fundraising Section

Unlike most runners I've met who are participating in the London Marathon this year are doing so to raise money for a charity. I'd love to do this as well, but it's a bit tricky being in the United States. In the future, I'll run an American marathon for charity (unless I'm living in England, in which case I'll run London for charity) but for now, I'd be happy if you supported one of the charities that one of the other runners is running for. (How many times did I use the word "run" in that?)
